Mandatory Requirement
As of January 1, 2005, all new hires (certified, support staff and all substitute positions) must submit to an FBI fingerprint background check. The fee for the background check to be paid by the employee. Employment cannot begin until the District is in receipt of valid written clearance results.

Applicants who are the subject of a national fingerprint-based criminal history record check for a noncriminal justice purpose (such as an application for a job or license), have certain rights. Please refer to the following link for more information:
