DR. TORI SNITKER NAMED PRINCIPAL OF ROLLA JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
The Rolla Board of Education is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Tori Snitker as the next Lead Principal of Rolla Junior High School, effective July 1, 2023. Dr. Snitker will be assuming the position formerly held by Dr. Monica Fulton, who will serve as Assistant Superintendent next year.
Dr. Snitker has worked in education for 22 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Math Education from Lincoln University (2001); A Master of Education (2007), a Specialist of Education in Administration ((2014), and a Doctor of Education in Administration (2020), all from William Woods University. She has served on MSHSAA’s South Central Board, 4 years on DESE’s Professional Learning Series Committee for Common Core Standards, and worked with the National Assessment for Educational Progress in 2014.
Dr. Snitker began her career at Fatima High School (2001-2005) and then at St. James (2005-2014) where she taught high school mathematics. She spent a year as the Technology Coordinator and 8th-grade math teacher at Strain/Japan (2014-15). Dr. Snitker then taught 7th-grade math at Rolla Public Schools from 2015-2021, and went on to serve as the Assistant Principal (2021-22) and then Principal (2022-23) at Salem High School.
Dr. Snitker is married to her husband Shannon and has two children, Catelyne Hayes (married to Colin Hayes), and Cade Snitker. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and traveling. When asked for a comment on her upcoming move to Rolla Junior High, she said, “I want to thank Dr. Dare and the Rolla Board of Education for this opportunity, as well as Mr. Hounsom, Dr. Welch, and Dr. Fulton. Rolla Junior High is near and dear to my heart, and I could not be more excited to lead them and stand beside them for years to come.”
