Congratulations to the RHS Speech & Debate Team on their exceptional performance at the Kickapoo Parkview Invitational on Saturday, November 19, 2022. The team had its biggest night in years, taking home 10 trophies, including an overall Sweepstakes trophy for 3rd place in the Novice division. Speech & Debate Sponsor and RHS Teacher Patrick Brooks said, "Just for some context, some programs NEVER take home a sweeps trophy for decades at a time. This was a huge tournament with 27 schools, so congratulate these kids when you see them. They worked so hard! We entered 12 entries in Individual Events, and 11 of them went to semifinals, and 7 of those made it to finals (a good percentage rate of entries to finals is 33%)."
